Comment and Trackback Policy

Corrections: Usually I rely on reputable sources for what I get. Most of the time that’s the press. If they misreport, I get the wrong story. Sometimes I do my own reporting, and by and large, I make darn sure I don’t run with something that will get me sued. Sometimes I do get things wrong. What I will do in those cases is strikethrough the post, or the incorrect portions of the post, and post a correction and explanation of what was wrong and why I was wrong. I’m man enough to admit I botched something, and when I do, you’ll know about it.
Comments and Trackbacks: I don’t do comments anymore, just not worth dealing with the spam and 90% of people who want to comment aren’t motivated by a desire to have a rational discussion. I write maybe 2 columns a month I post on here… I spend more time moderating comments than I do actually writing. Trackbacks are fine. If you have an itching need to make your views known, you can e-mail me and I’ll think about posting the feedback.
Privacy: I reserve the right to publish any e-mail received or any logs generated by your visits. Don’t like it? I believe the EFF has a anonymous Internet project you can use to remove any identity traces. Beyond that, I’m not planning on finding out identities of people and harassing their place of business or stuff like that. I have better things to do with my time.
