Kansas attorney general seeking records of women who had late-term abortions

WICHITA, Kan. The attorney general of Kansas wants to know the detailed history of the sex lives of nearly 90 women who received late-term abortions.

Here are the facts. We aren’t talking about women… we are talking about girls that have been raped and people are covering up for.

It isn’t the AG seeking records. It was a challenge to a subpoena issued by a Circuit Court judge that’s made it to the Supreme Court of Kansas, which the AG filed an opinion on.

Last, the case involved child rape. Records show that underage girls (the kind of girls who it is illegal to have sex with under any circumstances) got abortions. Let’s do the math. Underage girl shows up pregnant. Did she (a) have a virgin pregnancy, or (b) was the victim of a rapist? The smart money is on B. So they issued a subpoena to look at what 13 year old girls are being rapes so they could **GASP** prosecute the rapists. Those damn conservatives, trying to protect people from predators…

The AG does not want all records, he doesn’t want to know who is having sex with who, he wants to prosecute child rape. And considering Planned Parenthood’s tendency to cover up child rape, it is no wonder that’s where they started.

Cyberterrorism does not exist

Singapore ramps up against cyberterrorism

(Begin Rant)

There is no such thing as cyber terrorism. Doesn’t exist. It’s simply a word people use to either extract grant money or raise taxes. This tendency to laber things as “terrorism” is really ridiculous and is fast making it a meaningless word. Let’s break it down.

Terrorism… Terrorize… to bring terror to.

There is a reason the word “terror” is in the word. It does not mean, “make someone’s life inconvenient”, or “cause the loss of money”, or “clog up your inbox with spam”. Terrorism is the intentional attack on a civilian population with the intent to terrorize, or psychologically manipulate a civilian population.

There is no such thing as terrorism because people will not be wetting themself for anything that happens to their computer. Sure, inconvenient, perhaps in some cases, dangerous, but not terrorism.

When and until someone figures out how to send anthrax (and I mean the powder, not the next variant of Bagle) through e-mail, there is no cyberterrorism.

On Stereotyping

On Feb. 8th, Bridget Sharkey put up her weekly column in the Daily Illini that included divisive and demeaning comments about Christian men. Quote:

Virgin O’Christ: This species of male can commonly be identified by his “Abreadcrumb and Fish” T-shirt and “In case of rapture, this car will be unmanned” bumper sticker. This boy loves God, and, boy, does God love him. In theory, this guy sounds like a very spiritual and enlightened young man. In practice, he is a twenty-two year-old virgin with an axe to grind…a very horny axe. Because he only listens to country and gospel, he tends to use antiquated phrases like “a woman’s place is in the home” and “my wife better know how to cook.” If you aren’t looking to be married the day after tomorrow, you should probably let this Lazarus lie.

Now, this statement that essentially all Christian men are sex-crazed hypocrits that seek to oppress women is typical banter that is passed off as the core curriculum at the University of Illinois. It’s unremarkable, except that it provides a nice double standard that can be exposed.

On Nov 5th, the Daily Illini published the following comic by Matt Vroom in his strip “I Hate Pam”:

If you can’t read it, here is what it says:

I had a really good jew joke for today’s comic, but I decided not to run it.

Yeah, I don’t want Isaiah down at the bank to beat me with his nose.

This comic released a shit storm on campus, with the Chancellor himself going down to the Daily Illini and demanding they take sensitivity training.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday that Interim Chancellor Richard Herman would look into starting a competing, University-sponsored newspaper if we don’t train our staff better and undergo sensitivity training. From here)

I’m not going to defend the comic, it was in poor taste. There is, however, a difference between this comic which stereotypes the occupation and nose size of Jews, with this column that attacks the character of all Christian men. If we are going to enforce these kind of speech codes on campus, why is it that Christians never seem to be protected by them?

EU MP Says Catholic Beliefs are Off The Wall

Senior Member of European Paliment calls Catholic teaching “way off the wall”

Urbana, IL (DMP), Feb 8th, 2005 - During a talk given by Senior MEP Glyn Ford at the University of Illinois Law School, Mr. Ford described Catholic teaching on homosexuality, abortion, and stem cell research “way off the wall”.

The talk, part of a multi-disciplanary seminar on EU-US relations, focused on the EU Constitution and European Union structure. He covered several points regarding the development of the ongoing integration of the European Union nations.

During the talk he made reference to Rocco Buttiglione, the Italian who was nominated for the position of EU Justice commissioner but later withdrawn when his views on Catholicism came under fire. A compromise to place Dr. Buttiglione in another position that did not involve discrimination cases also failed. Dr. Buttiglione had said during the course of his hearings that he viewed homosexuality as sin, in accordance with Catholic teaching.

When pressed for further comment on the matter, Mr. Ford claimed that Dr. Buttiglione, a close friend and confidant of the Pope, was “out of the mainstream” of Catholics, despite the fact Church teaching on homosexuality is clearly defined and precisely what Dr. Buttiglione referenced. He further stated that his opposition of embryonic stem cell research (as opposed to adult stem cell research which is viewed to have no ethical problems) prohibited him from holding the position, even the Justice would never touch on the issue of stem cell research.

Mr. Ford also later claimed that opposition to abortion and contraception in Catholic countries poses grave problems for those countries to be integrated into the European Union. These comments further support the idea that Christianity, and Catholicism in general, is viewed as discriminatory and unwelcome in the EU and devout Christians need not apply for any position of noteworthiness in the new government.

Mr. Ford was the leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party from 1989 - 1993, and is a member of the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party. He is a full member of the European Parliament’s committee on Foreign Affairs, Human Rights, Common Security and Defence Policy.
