Impeachment: This is Getting Out of Hand

Pat Buchanan proves why he’s irrelevant

Why is everyones solution to every policy disagreement impeachment? I dunno, here’s a crazy idea, campaign on the idea. The voters buy it, you win. The voters don’t buy it, you go home and cry to momma. Illegal immigration is a problem, but I have this crazy opinion that we should reserve impeachment for…. oh, I don’t know… “high crimes and misdemeanors”.

    1. Pat who?

The GOP seems to be having a lot of trouble with “Pat Who?”s these days.

    2. I didn’t realize that it was necessary for Buchanan to PROVE he was irrelavent. I thought that was just a given. I agree that the impeachment thing is overdone, including the failed impeachment of Clinton. I’m no fan of Clinton, not even close, but impeaching him was just plain stupid.

    3. Oh yeah, I forgot to comment on the name change back when you did that. I like it. It flows a little better than the Ravings of John C.A. Bambenek did.

    4. Thanks.

At least with Clinton there was a crime (perjury) involved. They managed to make it about sex instead, now people think it’s time to impeach people for anything under the sun. That’s the bad thing about the Clinton precedent.

    5. If we impeached Judicial Officers, Legislators, Executitive Officers for high crimes and misdemeanors we would impeach every pro-choice who advocates abortion after 16 to 22 weeks as such abortion were a “very heinous misdemeanor” according to the William Blackstone when he wrote of the laws of that time.
