That’s All They Got?
That’s all they got? Novak calls, tells him how he thinks it went down and Rove responds, “I heard that, too”. That’s even thinner than Cooper’s testimony.

Rove is damned lucky. Now the question is… who really leaked Plame’s name?

Dunno, for one, apparently 40 some odd news agencies filed briefs that no crime happened here. Plame apparently has been at Langley for years, so I’m not sure leaking her name was even that big of an issue.
But I would imagine it was the person that Judith Miller is protecting. Rove waived confidentiality 2 years ago, that means it’s someone else.
I’d like to know why Plame has a job though. If I used my position at the University to score a gig for my wife, I’d be gone. That’s just standard ethics. Why’d she get away with schleping for her husband to produce a hatchet job?

Well, apparently leaking her name is a big issue, because the President himself has said it was and there wouldn’t be this investigation in the first place if it wasn’t.
Is the Plame/Wilson connection shady? Yes. But is it as illegal as the leak? Probably not. Nepotism isn’t something new in gov’t.
The other speculated source of the leak is “Scooter” Libby. We’ll see though. The only person I’m waiting to hear talk now is Fitzgerald.

Shhhhh. Don’t tell the liberals - it’s going to be fun watching them go ballistic about how this latest allegation PROVES that Rove is a criminal.
(I still think Miller is in jail to avoid revealing her real source - a dem politico.)
