Divisiveness
People (usually the Left) complain about the divided country and how Republicans are wedging groups against other groups. But then you hear Democrats refusing to visit family in red states and so on.
The next time a Democrat complains that Bush is promoting divisiveness, point out Buy Blue which is a website dedicated to getting people to buy only to “approved” companies that donate only to their candidates.
Now I have no problem with this. People SHOULD exercise their consumer choice, but I’m just pointing out the irony. The only reason the nation is so bitterly divided is because THEY made it so.

“The only reason the nation is so bitterly divided is because THEY made it so.”
Actually, it takes two parties to be divisive. Both are guilty of partisan bickering and personal demonizing that has led this country to its current divisions.
And actually, they both would rather the average citizen focus on the petty bickering while they all rob us blind through irresponsible tax usage.
RESPONSE: Bull. Sure, there is partisan bickering but that’s never filtered down this way. There are large movements on the left to retaliate any way they can against people who vote for Bush. And you are right, it is a distraction from politicians who are generally on the take who’s only difference seems to be the tag after their name.

You are right that we are divided because of our own attitudes toward dealing with each other. I boycott companies for all sorts of reasons, rarely political but I can see why someone would want to do so. As far as politicians go, they see these divisions and play on them for political gain and make the problem even worse. I think Republicans do this a lot more than Democrats although I have no doubt that both sides are guilty in this. We need to get back to voting on issues and personality. Cheers!
RESPONSE: I’m not talking about politicians though, I’m talking about average joe. Sure politicians play that, but its really the left that is going all out on this boycott the red nonsense. They, the individual people, see nothing redeemable about someone who votes Republican. How can you even begin to discuss anything there? Sure there are GOP wackos too, and maybe I’m not seeing it as much because I’m not the target, but I would like to get back to issues too.
